Our 5-year limited sealer warranty, and how to look after your newly treated surfaces.
Every surface we seal is covered by a limited warranty, and every surface we seal lasts longer when it is looked after. The care instructions come first, because following them is what keeps the warranty valid.
For the first seven days after application, clean up any spill immediately. The treatment is still curing into the surface during this period, and a spill left to sit can leave a mark that later cleaning will not lift.
Acidic substances etch the surface itself, underneath the sealer. Lemon, vinegar, wine and harsh chemicals will all do it, and no sealer on the market prevents it. Avoid acidic cleaning products, and wipe up spills as they happen rather than at the end of the day.
For daily cleaning, use a pH-neutral cleaner with a soft cloth or sponge. Wipe down regularly so residue does not build up, and use coasters and trivets. When a deeper clean is needed, use a stone-safe deep cleaner.
Sweep or vacuum regularly, and mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Mats at entryways do more than any product to keep grit off the surface. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners. For heavy soiling, use a stone-safe deep cleaner or scrubber.
Use a pH-neutral cleaner after use to stop soap scum forming in the first place. Squeegee or wipe the walls and glass to reduce build-up. For soap scum and mineral deposits that have already set, use a stone-safe deep cleaner.
Use a pH-neutral glass cleaner with a soft cloth or squeegee. Squeegeeing after each use is the single most effective habit for preventing water spots. For hard-water build-up, use a non-abrasive glass cleaner.
Rinse with water and use a pH-neutral cleaner as needed. Rinsing periodically clears dirt, pollen and debris before they work into the surface. For tough staining, use a stone-safe cleaner or a low-pressure wash.
All interior and exterior surfaces we seal carry a five-year limited warranty on the sealer, given to the original purchaser. It covers sealer failure — peeling, flaking, or excessively rapid wear — for five years from the date of application.
The warranty applies where the surface was sealed by Everstone or an authorized agent, and has been maintained in line with the care instructions above. Every claim needs proof of purchase and evidence that the surface was maintained accordingly.
The following fall outside this warranty:
Call us on (503) 263-2100, or write to Everstone Surface Solutions, 24517 S. Barlow Rd, Aurora, OR 97002. Tell us as soon as you reasonably can, and within one month of the damage at the latest. Please have your proof of purchase to hand.
Our liability under this warranty is limited to replacement of the sealant found to be defective. Labor is not included, and we are not liable for incidental or consequential damages. This warranty is given in place of all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
If you are unsure what a surface needs, or whether a product is safe to use on it, call (503) 263-2100. We would far rather answer a question than repair a surface that has been cleaned with the wrong thing.
